Women ministers in the church is a source of deep conflict among Christians. The article below is in favor of women ministers and contains many good scriptures confirming the ministry of women.
Christian women do not abandon the church in spite of their secondary position in the church. Women out-number men by at least 50% in active church participation. Without women the church is almost empty of tythers, choir members, teachers of Sunday School and, most noteworthy, members of the body of Christ that love the lord Jesus Christ with all their hearts.
Jesus never tells a woman to be silent in the scriptures. Jesus protects women from the harshness of the law and speaks to women with compassion and healing. Jesus Christ was a radical in His kind and open treatment of women.
The Article below was taken from Trumpet Wind email list. This article was first posted on my website created in 2004. When the article first appeared, I received condemning emails from some men and a few women that called me a false teacher and determined that I was destined for hell. Times have not changed much. I commend all women ministers and leaders for their courage to keep moving forward in God’s calling for their life.
Another man speaks-up for women ministers in “The Elect Lady”… from Ralph Beamish
I have been looking again at this question and then these reports show up on the mailing list from others confirming what I believe scripture teaches.
My current study has been on:
2John 1:1: The elder unto the elect Lady and her children, whom I love in the truth and not I only, but also all they have known the truth.
eklektov eklektos ek-lek-tos’ Elect, chosen, picked out chosen, chosen by God, Choice, select, i.e. the best of its kind or class, excellence preeminent; applied to certain individual Christians.
Kuria Duria Koo-ree’-ah A Christian woman to whom the second Epistle of John is addressed.
Translators haven’t had the guts to translate this word which is the feminine form of KURIOS:
2962 Kuriov kurios kee’-ree-os
from kuros (supremacy)l mn AV-Lord, Master, sir, he to whom a person or thing belongs, about which he has power of deciding; master, lord
1a) The possessor and disposer of a thing
1a1) the owner; one who has control of the person, the master
1a2) in the state: the sovereign, prince, chief, the Roman emperor
1b) is a title of honor expressive of respect and reverence, with which servants greet their master
1c) this title is given to God, the Messiah
John addresses her as the chosen lord, or leader and it is obvious further on that she is in charge of a church that meets in her house. He assigns her responsibility for keeping the false apostles/prophets/teachers out of her house church. Now if she isn’t the pastor/leader of the church, what is she? Only a willingly blind man WON’T see.
Be being blessed and being a blessing, Ralph

Women Ministers, stand side-by-side with Christian brothers

Gal 3:26-29 You are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus, for all of you who were baptized in Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. There is neither Jew not Greek, slave nor free, male nor female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus. If you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.
“What has become of the women that are in the church? I tell you a new wave is hitting the church. For too long women have been pushed aside. For too long a man has run the show. It is true that I have placed man to be the head of the house, but too many men have lorded this over with the women in their lives. This is a serious matter. It is true that I have called men to be the spiritual leaders in their home.”
“I have called many women to stand side-by-side with the great leaders of men in the church. In there is no Jew or Greek, slave of free, male or female. There is a certain gift and a certain trait that both male and female possess, and the ability to worship Me in spirit and in truth.”
“But there is a false teaching in the church. This teaching says that a woman may not teach or lead over other men. This has been misunderstood. This has been misapplied. I want there to be women teachers. I want there to be women pastors. I want there to be women apostles and prophets and evangelists. Look to your roots and tell me if there hasn’t been any women leaders in the church? Tell Me that there was never a Deborah. Tell ME that there was never an Esther.”
Church Is not man’s building but is Mine
“I tell you that the church is not just man’s building, but it is mine. Don’t hold so tightly to your traditions that you won’t see my spirit moving in this. I tell you that the apple cart will be turned over; and you will see that I make no preferences.”
“Continue to be the leader in your homes, men. Continue to do what I’ve called you to do. Continue to stand and fight and wage war against the enemy in your lives. But allow women to stand side-by-side with you in the battle. Continue to pastor your church. Continue to lead in whatever capacity I’ve called you to lead, but watch as I raise up women in leadership roles. Then surely, my church will come to fullness.”
Christian women ministers, follow your calling from God. Go forward in the leadership roles God gives you. God anoints you, woman of God,as a powerful gift to the Body of Christ.
The Gospel is not meant to deny women their divine destiny.
